Little Escapes hereafter referred to as 'The Agent' offers a booking service for holiday accommodation,ferry travel, and holidays including Air Travel. The air holidays shown on this website are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is T7250. ATOL protection extends primarily to customers who book and pay in the United Kingdom. Click on the ATOL logo if you want to know more. The aforementioned items are offered for sale to the General Public hereafter referred to as 'The Client'.
All payments for accommodation and ferry travel will be deposited into the agent's Trust Account operated by TTA Trustees [UK] Ltd, cheques are no longer accepted. Payments for flights will either be made into the agent's Trust account or direct to the ATOL protected operator, subject to type of ticket booked.
Financial Protection - the agent is licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority and hold ATOL Licence Number T7250. This legally allows the agent to sell accommodation and flights together. The flights sold are as an agent on behalf of full ATOL holders, and are protected by the Full ATOL licence. For further information, visit the ATOL website at www.atol.org.uk.
Once a booking is made firm through payment being debited, a contract is in place between the client and the agent. By making a firm booking the client, is agreeing to the agent's terms and conditions as well as the booking conditions of the property/travel reserved. A confirmation invoice will then be issued by the agent and it is the responsibility the Client to check all the details are correct including any special requests and to notify the agent of any discrepancies within 24 hours of receipt or before the date of travel whichever is earliest.
All clients will be covered by a Fidelity Insurance Policy issued by The agent which covers each passenger in the event of failure by the The Agent
The agent cannot be held responsible for any discrepancies arising through errors in descriptions of properties or for discrepancies or cancellations arising as a result of any travel, car hire, accommodation or insurance arrangements made through any third party links from the site or otherwise
All clients are strongly advised to take adequate travel insurance to cover any cancellation charges applied as a result of unused accommodation, whether through being unable to take the accommodation as a result of cancelled travel arrangements due to bad weather, via travel reserved by air or sea by the agent or otherwise.
PROPERTY RATINGS
All property ratings shown using the deckchair symbol, are only an indication of the local grading and this is not an official AA star or other star rating. The official rating if applicable will appear in the description.
THE RESERVATION
In order to offer the most up to date 'live' availability all properties are on a request basis. Once an enquiry form is submitted through the website or verbally, the agent will contact the client to confirm the availability either by email or by telephone. A non-refundable deposit of £50 per adult per week and £25 per child per week is payable to the agent in order to confirm accommodation, and a non-refundable deposit of £50 per adult and £50 per child is payable to the agent to confirm sea travel arrangements, a non-refundable deposit of £75 per person is payable to confirm flights subject to the type of ticket booked, some flights require full payment. Full pre-payment of flights where only a deposit has been paid and all sea travel & accommodation bookings are due 8 weeks before arrival, in the event the agent does not receive outstanding balances when requested, the agent reserves the right to cancel the holiday/services booked without refunding any monies already received. The reservation is subject to the terms and conditions of The agent and Booking Conditions of the property being reserved. Cancellations must be made in writing by post, email or fax to The agent, cancellation charges if applicable will be applied from the day the cancellation is received in writing by The agent. Should any arrangements be cancelled due to any force majeure or bad weather, cancellation charges may still be applied and clients are strongly advised to take adequate travel insurance to protect and cover such possibilities.
It is the responsibility of the client to settle any extra charges incurred during their stay for any other extra services not provided on the invoice by The agent, as per the policy of the property or car hire company concerned.
If a change of property, travel arrangement, outbound travel date, return travel date or duration is requested by the Client after a reservation has been made firm, the agent will try to accommodate changes but cannot guarantee. Cancellation charges may apply as per the Booking Conditions of the property or travel provider concerned, in addition to an admin/handling charge of £25 payable to the agent plus any increase in fare on travel arrangements. The number of persons occupying the accommodation must not exceed the number arranged at the time of booking. Check in and Check out times are subject to the terms of the individual property and are given on the property page
In the event of the original property being unable to accommodate a confirmed booking due to overbooking or otherwise, The agent will find alternative accommodation of the same standard or provide a full refund.
All confirmations are issued by The agent as under the conditions and regulations of the companies supplying the service.
COMPLAINTS
The agent makes all statements and gives all information in good faith and endeavors to check, so far as it is reasonably able, all information given to clients. The agent shall not be liable for any inconvenience, damage or loss resulting from information given or statements made whether orally or in writing provided that such information is given or statements made in good faith.
These terms and conditions may not be varied or waived except in writing by The agent. Any questions, matters or disputes arising out of any agreements shall be governed by the laws and customs of Jersey.
If in the opinion of the Client, the accommodation booked is unsatisfactory and there are solid grounds for complaint, the client must bring his complaints first to the notice of the Manager of The Property as soon as the complaint arises, should the complaint not be resolved by Management of the property at this time, then the client must contact the agent immediately. The agent is unable to offer any refunds or compensation for complaints not brought to the agent's attention whilst on holiday.
Where the complaints procedure has been followed but not resolved whilst on holiday, the client must notify the agent in writing within 14 days of the return date. All written complaints will be acknowledged in writing within 7 days of receipt by the agent. A response to the complaint will be provided in writing within 14 days of receipt of the complaint by The Agent.
SPECIAL REQUESTS
Special requests and requirements must be advised to the agent at the time of booking, although the agent will try to meet these requests where possible, they cannot be guaranteed and are at the discretion of The Property.
INSURANCE
The agent strongly recommends all clients are adequately insured for their visit from the time of booking, especially against cancellation, curtailment, illness, travel delay or abandonment.
VISA AND HEALTH
It is the responsibility of the Client to ensure all passengers in their party have photographic identification or passports where required for all travel arrangements and where necessary have arranged visas and hold the correct validity on their passport, and to check with the relevant local authorities as to the latest requirements. It is the responsibility of the Client to check where necessary that all health precautions both compulsory and non- compulsory are adhered to and advice taken from their local GP.
ADMIN CHARGES
Changes made after any booking has been confirmed will be subject to a £25 admin charge payable to the agent. The agent charges a £12.50 per person Booking Fee for all Air travel bookings. All credit card payments and debit cards not registered in the UK are subject to a 2% charge as at 07/10/09, however debit cards registered in the UK are no charge.
