We had a most enjoyable trip to Jersey, helped by unusually good weather for mid October. We chose Jersey as we wanted a short journey to a place we had not visited before. The special offer of 3 or 2 at The Pomme D'Or was excellent value and the room upgrade well worth the money. We were given the best room in the Hotel. Food (especially the Sunday lunch) and service at the Pomme D'Or were of a high order, We found other restaurants very good and not over expensive. We took a hire car for one day (£48-00) which enabled us to visit places of interest and journey round the coastline. On another day we took the local bus round all the island the villages - cost £1-70 each. The local bus services were also excellent value for trips to places of interest and to and from the Airport... R Rigby 24/10/11
We had a lovely time and would visit again. We have visited before and
stayed at these apartments (La Rocco) and others, but we found these apartments so nice which is why we return. I would like to suggest that perhaps sun loungers could be put on the grassed area, visitors could ask at reception for the cushions, perhaps a nominal returnable amount could be charged to ensure the cushions are returned. It does seem a shame in the late afternoon visitors cannot sit outside other than at the wooden tables. (Radisson) We arrived home this afternoon and we all want to thank you for all the trouble you took in arranging our short break to Jersey including reorganising the ferries at the last minute when we were sailing that day because of very high winds and all the ferries [apart from the conventional ferry to Portsmouth] which you managed to get us on in Club Class. I did tell you that we have already recommended you to a friend of ours on the Island because she is involved [being a bridesmaid] next year and the bride needs to organise a lot of hotels for guests, so hopefully you will be hearing from her in due course. We would certainly not hesitate in recommending you again to more friends. Again with my very grateful thanks for all you did for us - nothing was too much trouble. It was greatly appreciated... We had a great short break in Jersey (Radisson). We went to Jersey to celebrate my parents 49th wedding anniversary and we would certainly return.The island and the hotel was lovely- we were very impressed by its beaches! We were also very pleased with our rooms and grateful to you for reserving a 'lower' bath for my mother. The only surprise we had was that the hotel told us we couldn't check-in until 4pm, when my reservation details from you stated 2pm. The hotel said they would get in touch with you about this confusion, and may have already done so. Thankfully, this wasn't too much of a problem as my parents room was already available when we arrived, and so we could use that in the intervening period. Just wanted to say we had a fabulous week in Jersey. Everything went very
smoothly from check-in at Weymouth to checking off the boat back in Poole in

Well what can I say about our recent visit to La Haule Manor? Fabulous service as ever and an absolute joy to stay there, just what we needed. Everything about the hotel is first class and you are made to feel that absolutely nothing is too much trouble. I can't really single any one person out because you are all so lovely. Shame the weather was pretty awful but thats beyond even La Haule's control! Thanks to everyone there including you, Tracy (just figured out you are also in the office there). Thanks for everything. The advice on booking was given in a very patient, clear and friendly way. No complaints there. Holiday was lovely - Radisson Blu in St Helier was just fantastic! Ferry was much longer than expected as they have mechanical difficulties. I was very sick on the way over (no-one's fault with that!!) and wished I had booked a facing seat - didn't think at the time and the possibility was not mentioned. When full, the layout is so cramped on the Condor Ferries and it would be the ferry trip that stopped me doing this type of trip again. Not lovely Jersey, and certainly not the lovely hotel. Thank you very much for our Little Escape. We had a super time, the hotel was nice, the weather was great apart from today and before boarding the ferry we visited the pottery and garden centre so were under cover. I have visited Jersey on two previous occasions, however, this was my husband's first trip and he loved it and we do hope to return in the not too distant future. We were delighted with what we found on our first visit to the beautiful Island of Jersey. The accommodation disappointed initialy when we found the smell of smoke from a previous occupant unpleasant but after a few days of ventilation the place freshened up and subsequently overall exceeded expectations. Just to say what excellent service Little Escapes provided so thank you to everyone involved. Although it was my birthday, over the break, we went to take my father away as an 80th birthday treat for him; having given him the choice of going anywhere he wished (within reason). I won't mention the other company but it was only the fact that we needed to call at one of their shops as we were using vouchers, to part pay and then found their price was around £400 more than I could have done on line. With such an excessive difference and time running out I checked the alternatives and Little Escapes was the first I looked at. Although cost was not the sole deciding factor we had more time in Jersey than by flying and I reckon I saved about £600 on the whole deal too, with train fares and car hire also needed. In spite of ours being a very short notice booking (in part being because of a possible hospital appointment) and a late change to our schedule meaning I had to request a change of return ferry, the whole thing was processed brilliantly by your staff. We asked and they did it. Excellent. We will definitely go again and look at Little Escapes before considering anything else. Continued good luck to your company... P Loy 21/10/10

I would just like to let you know that despite the initial problem we had with our booking that we are very grateful you were able to sort our holiday by switching round the Jersey and Guernsey breaks. As a result we were still able to stay at the both the hotels we had originally chosen. We had a really enjoyable holiday and found the standard of accommodation at both hotels (Hotel Cristina in Jersey, Cobo Bay Hotel in Guernsey) met with our expectations. The food at both was excellent, particularly at the Cobo Bay. The only slight negative which you may consider making people aware of was the volume of traffic that passes the Cobo Bay Hotel. Having a sea view room with a balcony is in the main a plus, but was slightly spoilt by the traffic noise ... J Whitwood 10/09/10

We are still here and are having a fantastic holiday. The Radisson has been a great choice! The weather has been kind to us and we have explored some great restaurants ( nice Italian next door to pizza express, gio's opposite pizza express and tonight at the royal yacht club. Sneeked the kids into their club to see Rod Stewart look alike! We spent a day at st brelades hotel and will check out Atlantic hotel. Where else do you think we would like for our next visit with good facilities, near the sea and accessible please. Thanks again for all your help. We love Jersey!.. J Gilbert 23/07/10

Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how very pleased we were with our stay at the Prince of Wales . My husband, son and I were on holiday in England from America and took a quick trip over to Jersey for 4 days and stayed at your hotel. Just wanted to say thank you for you advice regarding our recent Jersey holiday. the hotels you recommended were absolutely wonderful. The service was excellent, with informative, helpful and friendly staff and the size of hotels made it all very personal. I am also so glad you recommended staying in a different location for our last 2 nights (chateau la chaire) as this part of Jersey is so different to the south west. The only small complaint about our trip were the traffic noise at La Haule - which I guess is unavoidable, and was probably worse because we had such warm weather and therefore windows open all night. There really seemed to be some wild driving going on into the early hours. But I would still recommend the hotel as it was so lovely... G Wales 13/07/10

Just to let you know that we very much enjoyed our few days in Jersey (Radisson). We were very lucky with the weather and we missed "Icelandic Ash" problems that occurred 3 days before we flew out! Just a few minor observations: Car Hire. Europcar's smallest car (as we booked) does not have air conditioning - that's a £2 a day upgrade. Were we glad we took it! Hotel. Excellent and we happily recommend it (but see our later comment). All the Staff were friendly and helpful (their website has a few critical comments about this); our (Business) room was excellent; food was OK but not always imaginative (breakfast was good). Only negative comment was something we discussed - wardrobe space. There were no drawers in the room; The only hanging space and 2 shelves were each about 18 inches wide. That was it! Our room had 2 "ornamental shelves" not really intended to be used for clothes - but, even for our 5 night stay, we had to use them for clothes! This seems to be a common complaint that many of the staff knew about. Other guests had asked for, and got, a wardrobe put in their room. This does not seem a sensible solution to what I would describe as a major irritation when you go on holiday! We wouldn't recommend the hotel for longer than a few nights stay - purely for that reason! Flights. More or less on time and comfortable (neither flight was full). Hope that is helpful to you.
